Timothy Erskine
President

Mr. Erskine has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and has been designing medical devices since 1986. His dual passions for scientific rigor and artistic creativity form an ideal combination for technical product innovation. He is an inventor on sixty-eight US patents, primarily in the field of medical devices, and his product designs have won several national industrial design awards.

Erskine designed BD’s Insyte AutoGuard safety I.V. catheter, which has become the worldwide leader in that market segment, and formerly managed the BD Infusion Therapy Systems Product Design department. Mr. Erskine has served as a design consultant and technical expert witness since 1996.

Michael Schwarz
Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Schwarz has been an intellectual property lawyer and advisor for almost thirty years. As an in-house attorney with Becton Dickinson, he specialized in intravenous catheters and safety devices and was actively involved in intellectual property counseling, patent license negotiation, patent prosecution and litigation.

Mr. Schwarz has worked in large and small law firms in the United States and United Kingdom. He has represented clients ranging from Fortune 500's to private individuals. He ran the law firm of Michael Schwarz & Associates for about eight years prior to joining Erskine Medical.
